Before You Begin
Make sure you have the following ready:
- Your license key received via email from Getzup
- A stable internet connection
- A compatible Windows or macOS device
- Administrator access on your device
Step 1 — Download Microsoft Office
Go to the official Microsoft website at www.office.com and sign in with your Microsoft account. If you do not have one, create a free account before proceeding.
Alternatively, you can download Office directly from:
- setup.office.com — for Office 2024 and 2019
- Office 2016 users may need to download the installer from the Microsoft Volume Licensing portal
Step 2 — Install Microsoft Office
Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions. The installation process typically takes 5–15 minutes depending on your internet speed and device performance.
- Do not close the installer while it is running
- Make sure you have at least 4GB of free disk space
- Restart your device if prompted during installation
Step 3 — Enter Your License Key
Once Office is installed, open any Office application such as Word or Excel. You will be prompted to activate your product. Select "Enter a product key instead" and type or paste your 25-character license key in the format:
- Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the key
- The key is not case-sensitive
- Each key can only be activated on the number of devices specified
Step 4 — Complete Activation
Click "Activate" and wait for the confirmation message. Once activated you will see a success screen confirming your Office product is licensed. You can now use all Office applications without any limitations.
Activating via Command Line (Advanced)
If the standard activation method does not work, you can try activating via Command Prompt as Administrator:
cd "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16"
cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
cscript ospp.vbs /act
Replace XXXXX with your actual license key.
Common Issues & Troubleshooting
- Invalid key error — Double-check you entered all 25 characters correctly with no spaces or typos
- Key already used — Contact us immediately at support@getzup.shop and we will issue a replacement
- Activation limit reached — Each key has a device limit. Contact support if you need to transfer your license
- Internet connection required — Office requires an internet connection for the initial activation process
- Antivirus blocking activation — Temporarily disable your antivirus during activation then re-enable it afterward
